A product to showcase a heat sensitive coating for sunlight reflecting glass.
The world is warming and our buildings are getting hotter. Air-conditioning is only making the problem worse, and it’s particularly bad in urban areas where the heat-island effect contributes to the problem.
Molly and Sian, co-founders of Albotherm, have developed a remarkable coating for glass that transitions from transparent to opaque at a tuneable temperature. This allows glass to reflect the sun’s rays when a certain temperature is reached, cooling buildings without using any energy or generating any carbon emissions.
They needed a way to demonstrate their innovative coating, so we created a thermal test chamber to show at pitches, events and exhibitions.
